You can’t beat a good SLR. There is a down fall though, they are not cheap!

There’s one of my macro setups. That’s a Nikon D80 (Camera body), with 90mm Tamron Macro lens, + a UV filter, SB-800 (External speedlight), and a R1 Speedlight macro kit flashes. Total price when bought new... A little over $2400.

Now of coruse you don’t need all that gear to get great photographs of Monitors.

If you’re going for SLR, look into Nikon, Canon, and Sony Brands.

Cheers,
Chad

I don’t have pictures of my camera, but I have a Canon Rebel XTi with just a standard lens, which works just fine for the pictures I am currently taking. And not terribly expensive either, look around and I got mine in a kit with some good extras for around $530. It is nothing compared to Chad’s setup though, his is excellent.

Expect to pay $600-$1000+ for any kind of dSLR setup. As Chad mentioned, stick with Nikon, Canon, or Sony. Canon is generally the least expensive of the quality cameras.

If you aren’t interested in spending large amounts of cash, there are several great "compact digital zoom" cameras out there.

If you spent that much on a camera, you’d be taking pictures of it too.

What if you have all "awesome cameras"?

Back-up cameras are important, and they should be very high quality cameras if you’re really into photography(as Chad is).
