 Going to get an ackie

So I’m going to pick up a yellow ackie in a week here it’s really small so u can’t tell the sex yet. My question is whe this ackie gets big enough for my 55 gallon tank how big should the pool be if at all? In my 55 now which house ny old water dragon I sectioned off a suare sized that fit two gallons of water do ackies need something like this or should I get rid of it? Thanks everyone

 Going to get an ackie

An ackie will need lots of room despite its llittle size so a 55 gal isnt good and they dont need a pool unlike water dragons just get a nice sized dish for them to soak.

Right the ackie will be in a 20 gallon for a month or so then I the 55 when he or she gets big enough. Also can u introduce the opposite sexy ackie at any time or do they have to be young?

Reptiles arent social by nature so if you have an ackie thats been living alone for a while he’ll treat his cage as his territory and will/may attack a new guest...ive seen this in many reptiles in captivity but if your having two different sexes together when the male sexually mature he will mate with the female even if shes not ready causing her to be stress.
