How to feed my shedding milk snake?

I need to know how to feed my new milk snake, his colors are just starting to fade and i need to know how to feed him before hand. To feed him on a regular day, I take him out of his cage and place hijm in a seperate container with his food, but during the shed, snakes get scared and could bite. How to I get him out of his cage to feed him. Or should I not even worry about it?

every snake is different i have a blackmilk she will eat whenever and i have a ball python that wont eat anytime near sheds, my baby ball on the other hand ate and then shed one time, i thought she had shed then realized what happened after. there is a greater chance that your snake will strike you, but some will eat and some wont and really its not that big an issue, unless you are feeding live prey then i say wait until done shedding because when they are blue they cant see all that good so they could miss then get attacked and get hurt.
