 Are milk snake usually inactive?

I just got a new pueblan milk snake 2 weeks ago. He is feeding very good but he rarely moves. I know that milk snakes are primarely nocturnal but when I go to sleep and wake up in the morning, he is usually in the same spot. He is always motionless and stays in the same spot, is this normal? Or is he just getting used to his new environment or something. Please help.
