 Just got a milk snake

I’ve been wanting another snake for a few weeks (I already have a corn snake), and today my dad took me to a good pet store to look. I found an Apricot Pueblan milk snake that was sooo pretty. The woman thought she was a female, but wasn’t sure. She’s so small!! Like a pencil!! The woman also said she’s almost six months old. I’ve read some books and care sheets already, but if there’s any extra info someone wants to give, it would be appreciated! Here are some pictures.

Very nice snake. Are you sure it’s a Pueblan? I think it looks rather much like a Mexican milksnake (Lampropeltis triangulum annulata).

Have a look at this link for comparizon:

I have a few Pueblans, one of them is an apricot. I couldn’t connect to my photo list, so I’ll try to post a pic later.

No, I’m not 100% sure. She was sold to me as an Apricot Pueblan, and that pet store is pretty reliable, but I guess they could have made a mistake. She looks quite a bit like both the Mexican and the Apricot Pueblan that you showed me in the link. So yeah, I’m not completely sure.

Yeah, I’m not sure either, but your snake seems to be built a bit more slender-ish than the average Pueblan.


This is my 2008 apricot Pueblan, not the best pic but anyway ...

Nice snake. Mine just ate the first pinkie while in my care. Hey, does anyone have a name suggestion? I think it’s a girl, but I’m not completely sure.
