 HELP LOST BABY BALL PYTHON

MY KIDS JUST GOT A BABY BALL PYTHON ON THURSDAY AND ACCIDENTALLY LEFT THE TOP OFF THE CAGE AND NOW HE IS LOST SOME WHERE IN MY ROOM, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY TIPS ON HOW TO FIND THEM WHEN THEY HAVE ESCAPED THE CAGE LIKE THIS, I HAVE TRIED PUTTING DOWN A HEATING PAD ON LOW ON THE FLOOR NEAR HIS CAGE ON MY DRESSER, I ALSO PUT OUT A PINKIE ON A SAUCER TO TRY TO GET HIM TO COME OUT BY SCENT OF FOOD... IS THERE ANY OTHER TIPS OR TRICKS TO HELP FIND THEM, HE IS ONLY ABOUT 6-8MOS SO HE IS STILL ON THE SMALL SIDE, AND I HAVE TORE MY ROOM APART LOOKING FOR HIM.PLEASE HELP THIS NOVICE SNAKE OWNER!!!

hang a heat lamp with a heat bulb thats bright that way it will reconize the light with heat in the dark. another thing is you can spread a line of baking soda across the floor and see if it crosses. i tried these when my lizard escaped i tore the whole upstairs apart looking for him. he ended up the one one place i didnt bother looking, so just look everywhere.
