Need Help. Leo not doing good...

Ok I have a problem with one of my leos. I’ve noticed he hasn’t been eating or drinking anything water lately. I try to keep an eye on them and I have noticed the one has lost weight and developed a wound on his front right leg. Awhile back he was shedding and didn’t get all the skin off of his front right leg. I had someone watching them for me because i was not home that weekend and they obviously didn’t do a good job. I ended up having to help get the rest off and his leg and it was swollen a little, but he seemed to do fine. Now a couple months later I’m not for sure what is going on, but he’s just not as active anymore. I feel bad because his leg seems to be getting worse now. I did notice yesterday he was drinking water from one of the spots i misted in his home, but still have not seen him eat. His tail has gotten smaller too which I’m guessing is bad because they usually get big when they are healthy. I just don’t know what to do to help with the leg and get him to eat again. I keep thinking I’m going to lose him it he gets any worse. If anyone has any suggestions please tell me. Thanks.

It looks like its very infected. I would take him too a herp vet asap. And until then make sure he is in his own tank if he isnt already.

That’s been like that for two months? I don’t think that has much to do with who watched them for a weekend. I would separate the two and take him to the vet.. two months ago.

The wound hasn’t been there for 2 months. His leg healed and went down to normal size from when it was swollen then i noticed the wound this week and his leg is swollen and red.

yikes.

looks like a nasty infection, and not one that you should try to heal at home. since it could (and probably is) spreading through the leg you need to get him to a vet asap. if you leave an infection go unchecked it can get into the bloodstream.

if there aren’t any herp vets nearby, find a regular vet and see if they can help you out. if that isn’t an option and you have a nearby zoo that has reptiles, try to contact them and see if they can help.
