Tinker Update: And Babies
About 3 weeks ago, Tinker’s first egg hatched. The little fellow did not make it. But last Thursday I checked her eggs and had two little ones running around in there. So I figured since they’ve made it a week, I should finally take some pictures and post for you. Here is Tinker: The New Mommy (although yet un-introduced to her offspring).
Here’s her two babies:
Here’s the one with the Paw Marked head: Who’s named I think is either Print or Paw
Here is Deuce, since as of yet it only has two white spots on it’s head.
If there markings change, these marks, then I will have to come up with another way to tell them apart! If you want to see all the pictures I took of them this afternoon, visit Link BTW I still have five eggs (that until the storms and lose of power this week) where looking ready to hatch soon. So if the drop in temps for about 16 hours on day and a couple of hours the next didn’t kill my eggs, hopefully I will have more babies soon! |

She is a PetSmart baby. She was in the cage with a full grown (marked Giant) male, ugly little dude, norm from what I can tell. I had no clue if they had mated (but highly doubtful that two full grown leo’s had not mated), she had a really bad shed and I loved her color and did not want to leave her in an unhealthy environment if she had the possibility to be gravid. So I bought her. About 4-5 weeks after bringing her home she’s been giving me 2 eggs (granted I’ve lost more then I’ve hatched) every 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. Therefore I know she’s a normal albino (I wish bell albino but I’ve been told otherwise by those powers that be that know more then me) but her name is still Tinker (bell). Anyways as for the morph of the father who knows and as for Tinker’s genetics, who knows. |

Tinker Claws - Tinker’s Baby Deuce - Tinker’s Baby Carrot Tail - Still no name, PetCo buy Frisky - (name will change, hatched out Saturday) Tinker’s Baby Big Egg - (Name will change, hatched out Tuesday and I watched) Tinker’s Baby One egg left in the incubator and I believe Tinker is done laying eggs this season. Whooo, that’s a small mercy! At one time I had 10 eggs in the incubator. I lost most of her eggs this season, had five hatching so far with four survivors. Hmmm, note to self, next time don’t buy a full grown female from the same tank as a full grown male! Nah, I don’t regret it at all actually. I find it rather amusing that my cousin who has his breeding set, kept telling me to toss the eggs, no way they are going to hatched, ect ect. and I have 4 healthy babies. They all where black and yellow! Anyways, I will post later with more pics of my huge Gecko Family later today! |
