 Help..baby geccos lost tails

Please help me. I’m watching my sons leopard geccos, they are 3 weeks old . I went into check on them and 2 of them lost their tails. Yes, my cat was in the room!!! My son returns on July 20th. He will be devastated. He hatched these and has been so excited. What do I do. Will they be ok, will they grow back?? Any advice?? Thanks

They will be fine. And yes, they will grow back. Most of the time the grown back tails don’t look the same as the original, but that doesn’t mean that the regrown tail is ugly or anything.
What substrate do you have them on?
And in the future, keep the cats out of the room they are in if at all posspible.
Hope this helps!

also what could have happened is that the clutchmates are being nippy to one another. so also watch for any fighting among the babies. and if they are fighting than seperate them.

They are on a white linen like towel. No sand. Thanks so much for your input. I am devastated, but happy to hear they will grow back. Thanks again.
