 OT-It Hurts!!!!!!!

So I was practicing some death metal vocals(which I’ve been doing for awhile) and so I tried some new pig squeals (tighten your throat and scream) and now my throat hurts soooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(keeps going and going and going lol)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So any tips on getting rid of it fast =/ cuz I really want to get back to screaming(lol who doesn’t? )

dont screw up your voice is my only advice.. ive seen some good bands tank because their leads effed their voices up really badly by not screaming properly.

Drink some warm tea with honey. That should soothe your throat. You might want to get some vocal classes....they might be able to teach you how to...ummm...scream, as you say...without it hurting.

The lead singer in the band of Disturbed is awesome. You definately have to listen to a few of their songs. If you haven’t listened to AC/DC...you haven’t lived.

HAHA nevermind!!!!!A freakin Tic Tac was stuck went down the wrong way!!!!XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD
Here’s how I found out:Me and my friends were practicing some vocals then I started coughing........My friends decided to help me by sucking at the heimlech(sp?)!!!!And as for the Tic Tac we were shooting then into our mouths earlier ....thought I swallowed the little thing =/ anyway stupid story but thanks for everyone who said somthing (yes even you MissSky) And yeah Ilisten to Disturbed,Linkin Park,Marilyn Manson,Korn,Three Days Grace, Papa Roach,I set my friends on fire, and some more that I can’t remember =/!anyway unless you wanna say how freakin stupid this story was (please do.......) I’ll kill the thread right here right now =)(pokes the thread)

the lead from otep has a good scream.. so did the lead for flyleaf.. but she majorly fubared her vocal cords from bad screaming and sounds pretty bad live now. oh well.

I agree with MissSky. When do you EVER here of lead singers of bands like that wimping out? Lol, sometimes they can’t sing anymore, but they don’t complain. And if they do, then they are pansies.
