 Class Pet?

I went to an expo last weekend and saw a really neat Russian Legless lizard. The guy who was working at the booth told me that it would make a good choice as a pet in my classroom, but Im a little concerned that he was just telling me what I wanted to hear. How do you think they would be in a classroom? I know that they cant be handled a great deal, but are they pretty active, or do they hide a lot. Also, how agressive are they?

plenty of plantlife
as far as activity given the right type of ground they should move around.
