haha I don’t know. I’m just doing the best I can. I’ll tell you the best I know from all that I have read. I got mine from agama international for a good deal of 100 dollars plus shipping which was like 40 bucks over night. it arrived alive and i had some basic hides and put him on newspaper with a 100 w heat light and a 10.0 repti sun uvb. THEY NEED uvb as well as heat. I feed mine about a dozen crickets every 3 days. I feed mine usually 1 or 2 at a time as he actively chases them then when he slows down and is not hunting so actively i stop putting them in and give them to my other reptiles.

I read on kingsnake a bit and talked to a few guys from europe and they said that they like to burrow so after a week or so on newspaper I took it all out and put about 6 in. of peat moss and childs play sand on one side and mixed it together to retain moisture for humidity and then about 2 or 3 in. of sand on the other half where she likes to bask. I went to wal mart and got a few large fake plants and put a few logs in there since they are terrestial. I did that today and he has been climbing up and down the logs and seems to be romaing around a lot. I gave mine a pinky mouse and he took it with no problem. You can probably do that about once every 3 weeks or so just for a treat. That’s all i got so far. OH
I have mine in a 40 gallon breeder and it is a juvie.

that was my first set up. just make sure you mist daily.

stunner, but why sand? id rekoment soil/sand mixture, with a bigger viv ( not a fish tank) so that the little gem can burrow a bit. you want a foot or two of soil really.
