I don’t usually come on this forum but as I have been looking at all these posts, (especailly the latter ones) there are just jokes. It seems like everyone just jokes around and nobody really seems to acually HAVE a komodo dragon, lol, this place is funny.
But I’m sure some of these people have komodos on here I’m mainly refering to the latter posts.

this is our "comedy relief" forum! no one owns one, as they are illegal, endangered and extremely harmful to farm animals, kids and other small people....but they look nice on the mantle.

Maybe someone wants to have an intelligent conversation about these animals in the wild? Why does the animal have to be in the pet trade in order for it to be "forum worthy". This forum has gone downhill though, I haven’t seen a single intelligent conversations about komodos on here.

Yeah, guilty. I guess the good news is that at least we we keep the "Dude, where can I get a Komodo Dragon?" people from spamming up the general Monitors forum, so lizard’s whose keepers actually need real information can still get help there.

LOL seriously though...if you want to have an "intellegent" conversation about a Komodo Dragon, why dont you start one. there are people on here that have researched them just out of curiosity or for the knowledge. im sure the "intellegent" ones will respond.

its not that we are less intellegent, just bored, i guess. and we have time on our hands to screw around and have fun a little. dont worry, were not making fun of KDs, i just think its a little silly to think you can own one. i mean, who would want to own one? you cant build a cage around one and they are certainly not handleable.

lol i love this forum. though, it would be interesting to read what peeps know about them....

yeah, i think ive read that somewhere, about them being able to produce offspring without the help of a male. i think it was here, in fact where i read that. somewhere in a zoo, so it was posted "a virgin female Komodo Dragon gives birth!" i think its amazing they have that ability. it sets them apart from all other species. and it is a good question as to why there are not more like them around. i use to think theyre a kind of "leftover", for lack of a better word, of some long ago species. and their skills, ones we havnt yet discovered, allowed them to survive. but then, why are there so few? it doesnt make any sense really.

theres still, so they say, a lot of undiscovered species in the world. we just dont have the time, money or manpower to go out and discover them lol. i wouldnt be suprised if they found dinosaurs (i know, its pushing it..) in places that are still uncharted. lol though, i doubt they would be anything like what we know to be dinosaurs.

lol Jackasp... i posted here, instead of there. but, i did want to comment. i agree that nobody wants to be serious. i am another culprit. but, this is a fun forum and i love reading and posting here. and if i thought for one minute that somebody was wanting a "real" conversation, i would have put all my jokes aside. i love these creatures. i think they are incredible! and i really could learn a lot more about them....hehe so that i could talk serious about them. my appologies.

though, dont get me wrong, i still want to play. but, just say the word....
