 Cloaca bleeding

My snake keeps bleeding randomly. I don’t mean after a shed, I know that’s normal. I mean she’s been hanging out in her hide for the last two or three days and I just looked under her hide to pick her up and check on her and there was a smear of blood on the paper towels and two blood clots. She’s been doing that occasionally. Her poop always has two blood clots. She just got spayed to see if that would fix the issue and it hasn’t. I’m totally lost as to what is going on. Any ideas?

A good reptile vet will actually sew the tissue back into place and prevent the tearing and bleeding. Spay refers to the female gender of snake. But a true spaying would include a hysterectomy of all the female organs related to birth / reproduction. You actually did this ??

Anyway if the tearing and bleeding does not stop it could lead to further complications. You might want to put some pressure on your vet to do it right ...or get another opinion.
