 UVB bulbs

Is a UVB bulb the same as a FLORESCENT bulb if not can you tell me where i can get them

Google UVB light bulb to get a lot of hits. This is just one of many retailers of this product.

I use this one for my lizards in the winter when I cant put their tubs outside in natural light. The snakes don’t need these lights, but maybe the types of snakes you are keeping have different requirements than my kings. I dont think snakes in general need UVB lights.

I had to Google this, as I have never in person seen hatching snake eggs.
This is a question for L.Roy, who has hatched a zillion snake eggs at least!

Some eggs may "shrivel" a bit just prior to hatching but many, like kingsnakes often appear to stretch just a bit and then you see a slit w/fluid leaking. Followed usually by a few more slits...Then....
