In my experience, if eggs go bad, they’ll turn black and stink. I’d say they are ok, but I’d like to hear if anyone else has had different experience, since I’ve only hatched 5 clutches so far.

the main thing is- if they stink then they’re prolly bad.
i’ve hatched strange and ugly looking eggs but never smelly ones.

From Wikipedia:
Captivity

The Rough Green Snake is a very attractive but can be difficult to maintain species in captivity. Because it needs a very precise humidity, heat, and dietary needs this snake is best left to the keepers with patience and money. These snakes require an aborial setup, a good vivarium is exo terra 45x45x60, with many plants(live or fake) and hides. They require heat eg. heat mat/ bulb. High humidity, produced by misting. They eat crickets, wax worms, spiders and horn worms.

I am envious! Crickets are EASY! No bothering with pinkies, although the habitat sounds a lot more complicated.

Yeah, that’s like anole lizards; they are inexpensive but their habitat is similar to the green snake and they don’t generally fare well in captivity. Keeping a dry habitat with just a moist hide is much easier than keeping an overall moist habitat, unless one lives in New Orleans or the Mississippi delta.
