What kind of caterpillar is this?

Ok, so I live in southeastern Michigan, and we went to a local park to go to a music festival thing today. Well, my sister and I walked around the park and my sister spotted a little caterpillar on the ground. Not wanting to let it get squished, we decided to pick it up. I brought it back to our area and my dad suggested we hold on to it. So, me thinking that this might be a good opportunity to let my sister see metamorphysis happen we decide to take it home and care for it (Don’t worry, we’re going to let it go). I put it in a ten gallon tank with an artificial tree stump, a branch, and leaves (at the park I observed what type of leaves the little guy ate and took some. I got the artificial branch and stump from my other reptiles that aren’t using it.)

So my question is what kind of caterpillar is this? And what will it turn in to?

Here are some clear shots of it. I’d say its about two inches?:

Here’s a picture of the type of leaf he was eating, from an acorn tree:

I’ll be doing my research to take care of this guy until I can finally let him go.

Nevermind I think I found it.

It’s the caterpillar of an American Dagger Moth, right?
