 Breeding mealworms (Please help!)

Hey everybody,
I was wondering about breeding mealworms. I have not tried before, but saw two of my beetles mating tonight and thought i should. They are on a flour substrate with crushed bran flakes and lettuce. Will they be able to breed in this? (In the flour?) When should i see the results?
Please write back with answers and advice!
Thanks a lot,
Jonny.

oh my goodness breeding mealies is as easy as saying muple!
---you should start with 50-100 meal beatles
---mix bran, oats, dry sugerless cereal, any thing like that without
preservitives
-----once a week give carrots, potatoes, or lettus(take it out after a while so it dosnt mold.
----thanwait...................................................................................................... .............it is the worst part! it will be maby a month before you will see rice sized babys just like mini adult mealies

now you have tons of mealies and your herps are happy!

ask any thing alse!

you shouldn’t use flour, just use bran, and yes they will breed in it(the bran)
And a day or two before your herps eat them put some Repcal in it since they have very little Calcium in them.

I just thought I would get my 2 cents in here also. I have been breeding mealworms for over a year now. I have mine in a rubbermade tote with a screen top and they are in bran and oats and have access to cucumber and carrots for fluids. I also have a peice of drift wood in there place because I was told that they will lay there eggs on that. They need a place like that to lay them. I am not sure if they will lay without something like this. Probably will but just thought I would let ya know.
