 Substrate

One of my meal worms turned into a beetle. I need help telling the sex of the beetle and what substrate I should use for it,and probably what type of food I need for it.

 Substrate

Regular oatmeal about 2-3"..and some form of moisture ...like a slice of potato or apple or lettuce changed before it gets moldy / rotten.

Keep the beetles together separate from the worms...One will eat the other. You can’t sex the beetles but they will mate if you have enough. If you use lettuce they will lay the eggs on it and you need to save the dried leaf in another container and wait for them to hatch.

My GF threw away many eggs on accident before ...sigh...
