 Poor thing...

One of my mealworm tubs were knocked over, and spilled all over the floor. As I picked up the worms one by one, I saw a cocoon that had cracked when it struck the floor. There was a white milky material oozing out of it. Poor baby.

:( I remember once, I had my beetles out on my counter as was giving them some more water. By accident, I turned around and knocked over the tub they were in. One of my beetles was pinned under the edge of the tub. I saw the same white material oozing out of it, and I felt terrible. I was thinking of flushing it down the toilet and ending it’s misery, but I waited to see what it would do. The next day, I saw it in it’s tank, but with a small dent in its wing. I picked it up and turned it over, and the cut was healing. The beetle was walking and looked better than ever, dispite the small dent. It lived for about 10 months after that, and I was glad I gave it a chance to fight for its life!
