I think my iguana has a fungal infection

It could be a number of things...

STUCK SHED... dab baby oil or olive oil on it for a few days and soak the iggy in the tub daily ...mist often. ...use an old toothbrush to gently scrub off ..If it doesn’t come off after 7-10 days or causes pain and discomfort treat for other items below

BURN... get some triple antibiotic ointment and treat daily until it heals. A dab of neosporin daily. Or more expensive Silvadene

FUNGAL ... source Melissa Kaplan
Mild topical fungal infections can be treated by the application of an antifungal ointment or cream such as Lotrimin or Micatin (yeast infection creams for athletes foot and other fungal infections)

ALSO
get some Betadine solution at the pharmacy...( pricey) or at the Horse and tack feed supply ( economical)
make a batch of solution 50% water 50% Batadfine. wash the area daily until improvement is visible.

All these things you can do at home ... but if nothing works then you need to plan on seeing an exotic vet

here is a great website to reference if you would like to see where I learned it from

Melissa Kaplan has 1000’s of pages to read ...this is but 1
Google her name for more
