HERES RUBY ON MY NEPHEW ABOUT 7OR8 MONTHS, I THINK I GOT HER AROUND 5. U CAN SEE HER TAIL FELL IN STARTED GROWING, I ACCIDENTALLY GRABBED IT THE FIRST DAY GOT HER BUT WE GOT THROUGH IT GREW FINE.



THIS IS RUBY SHES 1YR 1MONTH, GIVE OR TAKE. THIS MY FIRST POST SO THERE WILL BE MORE, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST RECENT PICS ITS NOT A GOOD ONE BUT YOU CAN REALLY TELL SHES BIG, I HAVENT SEXED HER SO IM NOT SURE BUT FROM WHT I SEE AS SHE GETS BIGGER IT MIGHT BE A BOY. WELL LET ME KNOW WHT U THINK....

welcome to the fourm! she sure is beautiful. if i ever got another iguana (other than a rhino igg) i would have to go for a red igg. haha and they do grow fast!

for sexing, we would need butt shots. right under the tail (where the tail and belly meet) and then the backs of the legs. she looks like she is big enough to be sexed. have you noticed any change in diet, temperment lately? its getting into breeding season, and the males will lose appetiete, can be very testy, will flash their boy bits at ya, and leave white balls of semen around the cage. the females usually just lay infertile eggs.

what are you feeding her?

can you tell us some more about your enclosure?
size?
temps?
humidity?
lighting?
substrate?
materials?

we always ask to make sure your on the right path. but by the looks of her, you look like your doing wonderful. if you have any questions, feel free to ask. were all friendly here.

WELL YEAH THIS THE THIRD IGGY IVE HAD, SO IVE LEARNED ALOT ABOUT THEM. I HAVE A 6FT HIGH, 4X4 ITS BIG ON WHEELS TO SO I CAN MOVE IT OUTSIDE. I HAVE A MERCURY VAPOR 100WATT SO ITS ALL IN ONE BUT TRY TO TAKE HER OUTSIDE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FOR SOME NATRUAL SUNLIGHT, BUT NOW THAT SHE IS BIGGER SHE ONLY BASKS WHEN SHE NEEDS TO THE REST OF THE TIME SHE ALL AROUND THE APARTMENT WXPLORING. I FEED MOSTLY GREENS ALL KINDS, ALL KINDS OF FRUITS N VEGGIES SPARINGLY WITH THE GREENS, BUT I ALWAYS MIX IT. I DONT A HUMIDIFIER BUT SHES ALWAYS MISTED IF ITS NOT ME ITS MY BROTHER OR MOM N OFTEN BATHS......AND THANKS!!
