Pics of my guy Hi! Long time reader but first post in the iguana forum. Just thought I would share some pics of my iguana Godzilla and the new cage I finally built him. He is about 9 years old now and was won by my nephew at a local carnival just like they do goldfish. Can you believe that?! He was probably about 5 inches long head to tail and knocking on deaths door, so I somehow inherited him. So here he is today.

Pics of my guy hes probably somewhere between 36 and 40 inches. I had always kept snakes and I have to admit in the beginning I wasnt experienced with keeping lizards and all that entailed with UVB light and such, so he wasnt getting all he needed for a while. But I have tried to make it up to him. :) And he is still growing pretty well. I have really grown to love lizards now also. I have the iguana, a frilled dragon, and a beardie now. They are addictive!

Pics of my guy Looks like he lost some tail. Maybe before you got him.
Reptar did. She is almost 2 years older than buddy and only 2 inches longer.
Buddy has been spoiled rotten since a squirt and has never lost an inch of tail.
Your iggy looks good though. How long did you have him without a uvb bulb?
I got bitched out for not having one for a week so I guess its pretty serious.
Try dusting his food with calcium powder or multi vitamins.

Pics of my guy Oh awesome story by the way. Wish I won a cool iguana at a fair!
I’m pretty sure most of the members here need some sort of Reptile Anonymous.
Almost bought a beardie yesterday when i went to get crickets.
It is an addiction!

Pics of my guy yea I have seen the little chameleons at the carnivals before for prizes but that was the only time I ever seen iguanas and he had a pile of them. All sickly looking and in the smallest little plastic critter keepers you can buy. I really dont know how that can be legal. Made me sad to see.

Pics of my guy Its approx 5x3x2. Made out of melamine shelving board with sliding glass doors top and bottom on both sides. He loves to be in front of the window when the afternoon sun is shining so I wanted to keep it open. If anyone is into building cages for their reptiles, let me know if you want a link to the place I bought the sliding door plastic track from. Its hard to find at a reasonable price. You can get a case of 6, 6 foot sets for about $60.
