 Can iguanas eat people food?

i was eating a slize of pizza. n i dont eat the crust. is it ok if i give it to my new iguana?n if so what other foods are ok for them. n i keep reading that i should potty train him. how do i do that. how would i know whens time for him to go. n how would i go bout it
?

LOL...I was at Annies place, well not hers ...but Ursula’s and Annie came over with Squiggy I think it was...anyway we were having a BBQ ...and that day there was a pizza laying around and she allowed Squiggy to eat some peperoni or something ...I was in shock...LOL..She assured me that a piece here and there would not hurt the large (3ft+) Iggy.

Iggy’s will steal food off your plate if you let them... make sure they don’t eat to much bad stuff.

now i read (i think on greeniggsociety) that pizza in small amounts is ok. you can also feed tofu. shela loves blueberry pancakes and hawaiian bread. just dont junk your igg up. shela only gets pancakes when we have breakfeast for dinner. lol but i stick with small soft foods. mailny breads.

Let’s face it. As much as we may not like the idea, collards....mustards...endive...escarole...cactus pear and pad...etc, are all people food. But a little bit of something else may not hurt them either.......my beardie Androth likes ritz crackers, Galadriel likes roast, and Galdor likes pizza. Go figure. Maybe we ought to start spicing up the salads. LOL

my deal was, pizza crust isn’t soft. my igs don’t like anything that isn’t soft. but lily likes grilled cheese sandwiches, and annie told me the same thing. both of them will about rip your hand off for zucchini bread.

I agree with Dragon Lover. Anything I eat I would probably give my iguanas. I’m a vegetarian and my iguanas beg like dogs. Buddy will straight up paw at your hand for food. Theyre polite about it though, weve taught them manners.

I’d say anything organic or raw without a bunch of cheese or sauce or anything you arent sure of the ingredients. Buddy is totally addicted to veggie burritos. Beans, rice, veggies, I try to avoid giving him the cheese. Reptars never been hand fed but hes getting there. Hes tear you up for some zuchini bread!
