 Shela Update

well were about 95% done moving. the lizards are both in their temp cages (65 gallon rep mesh, i feel so horrible. but the cages are in pieces lol) and not to happy. they finally decided to fix our tub (it was streaming scalding hot water nonstop for a while) i decided the kids needed baths. first up was simon. rob was amazed watching her swim. then shela’s turn. shela got his nails done, a nice long warm soak, and some lovings with mommie. you know its love when your lizard wont let you dry him off before he climbs on your shoulder. lol. at least he doesnt have that wet dog smell. lol

but breeding season is upon us in the davis house. the iguana is in season. lots of orange. the birds are frisky. i just wont say anything about myself. ROTFL but love is in the air! lol

for those of you new to shela, im not a bad mom. shela came to me as a rescue and was already handicapped and had been severly mistreated.

anyways, to the good part. the pictures!

and one of simon...shes starting to look really manly. maybe her name will fit her. lol

wow, shela’s looking good. simon, too. how’s that foot going? i know you were considering having it amputated. it’s great to have an update. i don’t care how much love is in the air (gag, choke); stay in touch with the people who really love you--the reptic zone crowd.

Nice pics!
Shela looks great considering the rescue. Nice and fat and getting some color.
Simon is awesome. My Attila is just starting to grow his spiny spikes so its neat to see older WDs. :D
Keep up the good work!

 Shela Update

i havent heard anything from the doc on shelas leg. last time she said she wasnt all that concerned at the moment, but something would need to be done. i keep using mineral oil on her foot to keep it moist and from cracking. helps a but, but not a whole lot. ive been wondering if i could use a fragrance free hand moisturizer on her foot. just havent had the time to ask. its a new idea now that winter is coming. but i cant believe how much orange he is getting. man. didnt get near this color last year.

and simon is my sweety. shes about 2 years old now. i will have had her a year on november 16th. she was a scrawny teeny little thing. she has really bulked up. shes just starting to get a dorsal, and her spines are slowly growing.

but thanks for the compliments. i always worry, so its nice to hear good things and praise from other people.
