 WTF is going on?

While is was feeding my iggy with greens(she was siting in her cage) he started to run like she was crazy and her colour changed..I didn’t do something i just gave her green such as always...he started with dark green and then he appeared brown on her back and legs...i tried to tough her and get her out of her cage but she didn’t want...Then i left her alone and i thing her colour is a little bit better then it was...Any idea for what it happened?

PS:she was running again in her cage right now...its about 7-8 months years old...WHAT IS GOING ON?

ok is your igg a he or a she? doesnt matter, but you kept switching back and forth. lol.

how big is the iguana and how big is the cage? if its in a glass tank, take some paper or cardboard and cover the front back, and sides of the cage. it may help him calm down. keep the tail clean. use tripple antibiotic cream or iodine/water mix. some people use gauze and tape to bandage it. but keep it clean and treated.

iguana is about 39 cm from head to the end of tail...the cage is 80*35*45h..well she didn;t cut her tail,just broke it...I puted her out of her cage but he still was running...now he is calmed down but he stands down tha light in her cage and doesn’t move...have i got something to worry about???

OK, calm down..take a breath.....sounds like something scared him..Did you change anything in your room....or play some loud music....What color of clothes were you wearing? Some iggys don’t like certain colors......My Squiggy HATES the color yellow..she goes CRAZY when she see that color....and I also have is light blue night gown with big dark blue K’s on it for Kitty.....and OMG...she goes NUTTS over it..I had it on the other morning and forgot about it and I had to get in her cage and she saw me with it on and rammed her nose on the wall trying to get away from me..she went crazy..her nose was all bloody it was a mess...but I really think something is scaring him.....

i was wearing black clothes...it had a little bit pink with white...well i changed my clothes but she was runing to escape too...You know the strange is that she ate 5-6 peaces of greens and then she started to run..she caused a mess to her cage...dont know what happened...
Anyway she will calm down again...for now every time she sees me he dont move but when she gets the change she is running to escape like crazy...ok..For the tail..Can i do something with that?

Hello,

I think a majority of us have had our iguanas freak out for what appears to be no common reason. I seen mine go from sleeping to crashing continuously against the door in a split second.

As for the tail, it will grow back, but not to the nice tail that it once had.

Are you giving her calcuim? and vitamins ?
the tail sorta looks a bit deformed maybe from previous owner possibly?
iguana’s use there tails to wip as a defence so from what i read its kinda normal that sometimes they can break wip and more like shatter the bones in the tail.
the end of the tail looks dead now. or maybe has shed on it? what does everyone else think im no expert? but i would say go to a vet so they can remove the dead part of the tail.
