Zeaks first vet visit! with pictures
I do a yearly checkup on my iguana’s. they checked her mouth , tummy , clipped her nails and checked her heart beat all look good. we also took one of my beared dragon’s to the vet. Zabaa , she had this huge bump thing on her chest and i was thinking abcess. Yesterday the doc told us it could be either a abcess or a tumor. UPDATE- She had surgery this morning and it is looking likes a abcess so far. she did good threw the surgery and is resting in a incubator. so later this afternoon we will go pick her up and bring her home. she also has worms which i figured we had no poop sample to bring them but he did a fecal at the vet. Shes going to get some meds for her chest and meds for getting rid of those worms. she’s also going to have pain bills and in 2 weeks will be going back to the vet to remove the stitches. time for zeak pictures :) zeak did a real good job at the vet for her first time. she earned a gold star for sure. mels first time was a interesting one indeed. usually the vet does the checkup and then there nails but zeak was a different storie. so we got to watch them clip her nails first. he used a dremel tool for this.
Next he checked her heart beat.
Then he checked her tummy which he said she had a ton of food in there.
and last but not lease he checked her mouth to make sure she had a healthy looking iguana mouth

she is almost a year old and he told me she looks like a girl for sure. she is not prego she is healthy they even weighted her at huge 448 grams so she is ideal weight they said. |
