When I bought him three years ago he was relatively tame. The first year I had him he was held and received lots of attention. Unfortunately for him my wife and I had a baby and my time was no longer available to him. He has become somewhat aggressive, and he needs work to be handled. I have very little doubt that if someone works with him he will again become the perfect pet. Having said that, I am trying to find someone that will give him TONS of attention, and a fantastic home. He deserves it! I feel horrible that he no longer fits into my lifestyle. But what is best for him is all that matters now. Over the past 15 years I have housed many iguanas, both Cyclura and greens. I have never had an iguana become ill, or even break a toe nail in my care. I am meticulous when it comes to the care of my "boys" (I have always had males). Can anyone tell me where the best place to find him a home would be? I have searched a bunch of sites, but I continue getting people telling me that they have the perfect aquarium to put him in. He is NOT going to a home where he will be housed in a fish tank!!!!! I am looking for someone with a REAL background in dealing with Cyclura, not geckos or chameleons!! Any advice is appreciated! |
