hey there! you dont need a night light if your house temperature stays at like 75 degrees to about 78 degrees at night! if its colder then that i’d say buy a lower watt one and put it near where he lays at night cuz you dont want them too cold at night cuz there cold blooded so they’ll be colder then your room temperture ... just make sure you know how hott it is getting where you place the light cuz they do need night time temperture like they get in the forest. they cant have it like ninety degrees plus all the time.. hope this helps

Thanks this is all helping me well i know my house stays pretty warm at night. I was also thinking about making a little house for it to go at night and inside will be like a blanket it or something instead of the light but i dont know.

i dont use one but i thought i read something on here somewhere that the red bulbs actually make the iguanas very irritable. you might want to look into the purple/blue ones.

well i have read that night lights disturb the natural sleeping patterns of your iguana, so i would recommend a ceramic heater.(gives off no light and keeps ur baby warm!!!)

You have to be very careful with CHE’s as they do get VERY HOT. But they are supposed to be great for emitting heat without the light source. I do not use one personally because of the fact that they get so hot and can cause fire is not used or placed properly, But do not use a red bulb under any circumstance.
I live in an apt that has heat included and I do not get heat so it is freezing in here 9 months out of the year. I have portable heaters running all winter and I will be looking into a night light from UVreptile that I want to try this year. I already get my megarays from there so I figure it has to be decent.
What size and what type enclosure are you trying to heat at night?
