what type of lamps do i need for my cage?
how much do they run for also?

The main lamps you’d need are a basking light and definitely a UVB light.You can usually just get a ceramic lamp and use a house bulb for a basking light but UVB is needed and the bulbs usually go for around $20-30.

hopefully you do not already have an Iguana since you are asking this question, You need a heating/basking and you need UVB. Both are mandatory. Costs depends on what you get. But you will need the bulbs or tubes along with the fixtures.

What size enclosure do you or will you have?

no, i don’t have an iguana yet, i’m getting on thursday, we are getting a temp. enclosure but then my gf and i are going to build a larger one so the iguana has room. not sure of the measurements yet.

If i were you I would hold off on getting a Iguana for a little while Until you are a little more knowlegible on proper iguana care. Iguanas are a very hard to take care of animal that cannot just be bought on whim. proper research and preparation is a must. If you do not even know basic care requirements like heating and lighting, than that means you are no where near ready to properly care for such a special creature. Not trying to be mean or anything, its just I see this happen all to often and turn out bad. Good luck to you

no problem, i’ve been researching like crazy, i ahve just heard different things from different sources and wasn’t sure what to believe. thanks though, i’m researching the best i can. :)
