 New Pectinata Cage

Well, Sorry I’ve been absent for a while, but I’ve been working two jobs and the hours don’t allow me much free time. But, somehow I managed to finish up this cage for my two iguanas. I decided to make it an insert for an existing cabinet. It looks like two separate cages, but it’s really just one. Hopefully this will give some ideas to people who are trying to conserve space. I also tried a product called "American Accents--Stone", which is a multicolored/textured spray paint. It was a lot of fun to use, but next go around, I’m going to use it as a base and not just layer different shades.

WOW..That looks great Chris..You did a wonderful job.....Your iggys are going to be so happy....They look good....Love their color....

Question? Did you make your rocks...and if so how....I’m going to start building my new WD enclosure and I want rocks and a rock wall but real rocks are so heavy..It’s going to be 7ft H X 6ft L X 3ft D...

nice cage!! i really like the rock wall too, and agree with poco. the real rocks are kinda heavy, i didn’t reinforce the supports well enough under my waterfall in my water dragon cage, and it toppled, so i need to build a new one.....

Banana phase Mexican spiny tails is the common name. Although they certainly are not the only species of spiny tail iguana that lives in Mexico. Until they come up with a better name, I’m calling them Ctenosaura Pectinata.
