#2253000 Jcolli View Profile	Parasite? I work at a nature center. We had a local who caught a hognose snake, kept it, fed it pinkies with no issues for a month or so (snake is about 12 inches long, eastern hognose). The guy decided to donate it to our center so that we could use it for education. The snake seemed healthy, round, alert. The snake has not eaten since in our hands (tried pinkies) for 3 weeks now, is now losing weight, is lethargic, limp, and seems to be getting pale in color along the last 2/3 of it’s body. We have it in a glass terrarium, daylight light bulb, heating pad (both on same end of enclosure), water with crawl space underneath, log with crawl space, enough space to move from warmer climate to cooler and some kind of reptile mulch. Does it have a parasite? The symptoms just don’t seem right....I feel like something is really wrong with the snake. Any thoughts/ideas are appreciated.
