 Sick Firebelly help please

Our little boy has had his firebelly for 3 yrs. He has stopped eating after we noticed cloudy water 3 days ago. We changed the water right away but later that day noticed his back legs slightly suspended. Then this clear/white-ish ’string’ like stuff connected from his back legs to the side of his pool. I believe it was the slimy stuff that dried which caused him to be stuck. We’ve never seen ’shedding’ that I’ve read about on websites but this is something more serious. He is very sick. Not eating, weak leaning over, continuing to get slimy (started to change water every day for past 3 days.) Now his back legs seem to be getting white in color & they are not moving properly. I worry it may have to do with bringing home a ’friend’ from Petco on Feb. 2. Even though the new one was much smaller than ours, it instantly attacked our toad (our toad’s gender is unknown though we say "he".) The small one jumped on him & had it’s mouth around his nose & eye. Our toad didn’t bite back (he’s been living alone since we got him). He flipped over on his back & the little one continued to bite him. Our toad just tried to get away & the new one had his entire foot in his mouth. We called Petco & they told us to seperate them & we did so right away. Petco said there was no worries or any type of medicine or treatment needed or even available. He has been getting worse over the past 3 days so please respond quickly, he is a special friend of our little boy & are worried about him. Thank you for your responding.
