Tail fell off!
We are new the world of lizards and had an incident (yikes!) with one of our long tailed lizards yesterday. The rock that we have in the cage fell and one of the lizards tail was hit. Consequently, later that day, the tail had fallen off.
We know this can happen and understand that the tail will grow back. In the meantime, is there anything that we need to do? Obviously, we removed and discarded the tail. The stub that remains has a little blood but the bleeding has stopped.
Also, one more question, I see that there is a distinction made in how to feed juveniles versus adults - how do I know if my lizards are adults?
Thanks for any information.
