 Anole Mixing

I have a 29 gallon arboreal terrarium which I am currently housing two Green Anoles in. It is very full of plants, vines, sticks, etc. Could I add LTGLs to my setup...how many? I was merely curious because I recently saw both species in a setup and, being told Never to mix species, was not sure if it was true that they are compatible. I would be willing to purchase a larger terrarium to accommodate both lizards if necessary. Thanks!

I don’t really think you should because I’ve heard that they may carry parasites that may harm another species.

I heard that anoles can some times be agressive to other animals.

Its your choice to mix different species, however it is not recommended. Parasites, Pathogenic Infections anything can be dangerous to each different but not to each same.

My answer is NO dont mix them.

You have enough room to add one grass lizard. Make sure there is enough sunning areas for them and don’t let one or two eat all the food.

I would NEVER mix the two. I’ve had people tell me they wanted to try it only to have the grass lizards killed by the anoles.
