Are escaped crickets OK to feed?

OK I know feeding my lizard "wild" crickets is a no-no. But is it safe to feed her store-bought crickets that have escaped & lived in the house for several days? Could they pick up enough household chemicals or whatever to harm my lizard?

Even if they didnít get into chemicals, they probably have no nutritional value left for the lizzard because the cricks havenít eaten anything good.

The only animals that get escaped crickets in my house are my cats. That’s just my preference though. I see them as wild crickets.

no offence but that sounded like the worst idea ever. his lizard could run under a door, into a vent, or eaten by his cats are you an idiot? yes that is a question.

Pauldan, that’s the dumbest advice I’ve ever heard. Any posts I’ve seen you make have been totally ridiculous! Why are you even here and WHY are you giving people advice!?

OK, seriously guys. It was just a question.

Here’s my advice: I would probably say no, just in case. You never know what crickets can get into.
