Welcome To The Grass Lizard Forum

I have a female long tailed grass lizard and i handle her sometimes but when i do, she usually closes her eyes shortly after i take her out of her tank, is this too stressful for her? I want to handle her so she can become tame an breed

Thx

It is my understanding that they really like the warmth of your hand and that warmth relaxes them and they start to close their eyes. There are people though that will tell you they are display lizards and shouldn’t be held because it stresses them too much. I’m not sure I totally agree though.
