There is an new 80 acre ranch near Puerto Vallarta where I farm consult. We are growing honeydew melons and in addition to different flies and other insects, we are being harassed by Gila monsters. The farmers are poor and the protein feeds their families. Is anyone interested in coming on the farm, paying a $100 fee (more if you damage the melons) for each one you catch, let me know. I’m uncertain of any laws pertaining to them.

Want some Gila monsters?
If you are in the US, (sorry theres a lot of puerto vallarta’s) gila monsters are a protected species. Without a license, captive keeping is illegal. In addition, so is the destruction and killing of them. Just might want to keep that in mind.
