Geckos need time to settle in. Some don’t eat for up to a week after purchase simply due to stress. Other issues, such as parasites or illness, can be discovered by your local vet - who you should visit for an initial checkup regardless of which lizard you buy. Should your gecko not eat past day 10, a vet trip is a must; even sooner if the gecko is a hatchling.

Be sure you have looked at plenty of caresheets and set up the tank correctly. If possibly, leave a plastic cup of mealies, silkworms, or crix without back legs in the tank overnight and count who remains in the morning. Many gecko species are nocturnal, so it stands to gain that they’ll hunt while you’re asleep.

Since you’ve only had this gecko for three meager days, it should stand to gain that leaving him alone will also help.
