What is its Latin binomial? It looks like a terrestrial gecko to me and I would say tropical savannah or woodland too. How big is it (in inches/cm)? It looks cool whatever it is.

Ah, OK. I actually realized that shortly after I posted last time. Here is an article about them at Geckosunlimited.com: Link

You could probably find a good care sheet there too. While I wouldn’t recommend following any one care sheet exclusively, the ones on this site seem to be quite reputable. Good luck.

well i got my boy here!

He’s gorgeous!

the care is very similar to leopard geckos i.e, heat mat for heating source, roaches, crickets, locusts, mealies for their staple diet etc etc.

only differs are i need mist every 3-5 days as he dirnks off the sides.

oh my no! he loves it! he seems to enjoy it when hes centre of attention!

heres some pics of him being handled! (pics by me):

they are much like leopard geckos, easily hand tamed. This one was already hand tamed, but babies will stand high on their legs and bark or hiss at you if never hand tamed. but easily broken and easily tamed.

Lovely boy he is!

Hi your Gecko is beautiful i have a thick tailed barking gecko and he hasn’t been handled i was wondering if you could tell me if there is a certain way to try and tame him as i really want to give him a hold and a pat.

Haha, sounds like leo babies when they’re just hatchlings. If they get bumped, see me walking by, or just feel threatened at all, you bet they will start to make some crazy noises and hiss lol! But that gecko looks pretty cool! I’ve never seen one of those before. So is their care the same as leos?
