 New to geckos

Hey, I was offered a pair of "fan-footed geckos" earlier today and am receiving them sometime tomorrow.
I’m not sure what to use for substrate though.
I’ll be keeping them both in a 2x2ft wooden box enclosure. I know they need UV lighting.
Question about feeding though, would they eat roaches? I breed blaptica dubia roaches for my monitor and want to know if they will eat them.
I have a few other questions but I’ll wait ’till I get some responses.

ive never dealt with those geckos before so im not sure about the substrate part but as long as the roaches are appropriate size you can always try them and see if the geckos will eat them
