the really cheap geckos are the hard ones to take care of.. id look into cresteds or leopard geckos. do a google search on caresheets for them... you have to do some of the work we arent going to just tell you everything you need for a specific gecko

Depends on cheap...

House ~$7
Golden ~12
Marbled ~$15
Tokays ~$15
Bibron’s ~$20
Dune ~$25
Leo ~$30

Gargoyle ~$120

Those are the prices around here from what I remember last time I went to get crickets.

Be warned that it’ll be costly to set up for the cheap Tokay you intend to get, that they can be very aggressive, and that you will need to pay for a vet, since many tokays come with a loads of parasites. Most cheap lizards do.

I also would not believe many caresheets out there on tank size. 20 gallon is minimum, never a 10. 30 or more is better. This lizard can grow over 10 inches long and are large for a gecko.

House geckos ( not to hard to care for just need to have quick hands and a VERY secure lid). Golden geckos though do not like to be handle, stress easily and need high humidity.

i think it really depends on the gecko, i have a very relaxed golden gecko, and a small tokay gecko 9 inches big with the tail but not not bad to handle, the tokay bites me but calms down quickly and the bites aren’t anything
