what kind of gecko is this



and what is wrong with his/her leg



and was it worth 40 bucks?

That is a leopard gecko. You can find hundreds of care sheets on RZ alone that will help you with your set up.

The leg looks to be broken and has swelled. I recommend seeing a reptile vet and getting some antibiotics to fix the problem. Leaving it alone can result in bacterial infections and the pet getting sick. California has hundreds of reptile vets; they are listed in the yellow pages under V for vet.

Any life is worth however much you pay for it so long as you give it a good, long life to live. Once you fix the leg problem, you’re going to have this lizard for a good 20 years. As for the species price, yes. 40 is an alright price.

Yeah that’s an albino, though I can’t tell what line. I wouldn’t have paid $40 for an injured gecko, but i’d get that guy to the vet ASAP.
