hello my name is Andrew,

i was interested if anyone could provide me with any basic information about geckos and any books available to date (best available), as i would like to do some research 3-5 years prior to getting them.

Leopard geckos are what you’re looking for. A step up from that, also with morphs, is the crested gecko. Leos are terrestrial while cesties are arboreal.

Like there are hundreds of species, there are also hundreds of caresheets. Even on this site there are caresheets for both the leo and crestie. Look at many as some are inaccurate.
