House Gecko Juvies need new home... 
I need to find a new home for my home bred house geckos.. They are about 4 months old and are just past the juvenile phase... One male and one female.... I live in Salem, Oregon and am hoping someone in my area would be interested in adopting them... They have Never been handled and trust me enough to open their tank with out running or panicing as long as I don’t attemp to catch them... Planning on keeping their parents, but I am also afraid their children may start inbreeding soon... Primarily we just need space for another new pet and we live in a small one bedroom appartment... Please help....

Well, I ended up putting all the geckos together in the same tank... No major fighting as of yet.. Still hoping someone will be able to adopt them... Fortunately, the "juvies" are about the same size as their parents now, so they’re fending for themselves fairly well...

So...I’m just curious...you don’t want the babies...but you’re keeping the parents together anyway? I’m sorry but that doesn’t make very much sense...plus you can’t even find the babies homes? Have you tried Craigslist? Or a pet store?

What pet stores would take them? I tried petco and petsmart but neither buy pets.... I wouldn’t mind getting rid of all four of them, but I thought the younger ones would be easier to sell to a store.... Would I be more successfull at a small time pet shop? Maybe I could keep the females and sell the males, that way I could keep some of them with out them breeding.... Do females get along better than males? I know that males are prone to fighting....

females can be housed together usually with no issues. do you have any friends you could "gift" a male to? give a tank and some decor along with the gecko as a gift? i know id be thrilled if people gave me geckos! lol

I have one friend that might really like one of them, but I’m restricted on money and can’t afford to buy another tank and setup to pass one on to them.. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if they can get another setup... At present they seem to be getting along ok.. Some minor bickering over hides and perches but no major fighting since we first put them together....
