Staying in one side of the cage

My leopard gecko geo has been staying in one corner of the cage. I got him from petsmart and he recently shed. He rarly goes on the cool side of the tank and never goes on the moist side of the tank. What is wrong with him or is this normal?

It could be normal or there could be a reason that he prefers that corner. Leopard geckos are nocturnal, so you may not see him exploring his home at night and he is just returning to that corner to sleep. Make sure and check your temps for the warm and cool side, as well as offering several hides on both warm and cool sides. I would suggest a moist box/hide-they may not use it often, but you should still offer. It would be helpful if you could describe your setup a bit more and the temps. Also is he eating and going to the bathroom ok?
