 Leopard gecko advice?

I just got two leopard geckos and I’m trying to set their tank up the best way possible. I have a UVB lamp on top and a heating pad under the tank. They seem to like sleeping on the side with the heating pad but they go back and forth between the warm side and the other side of the tank which is cooler and where I placed their hide. So my question is; should I move the hide over the heating pad? Will they be more comfortable that way or will it make them too hot? I also feel like I shouldn’t move their environment too much.

You should have multiple hides since your housing 2 so they won’t fight over hide spots 2 for the hot end and cool end. Putting a hide on the warm end will make them feel more secure while warming up

I also agree. Be sure to offer them several hides on both hot and cold sides. I rearrange my guys cage every now and then, and he really seems to enjoy it. Even though its the same few hides, a simple swap and he is out exploring his new layout.
