 New to leopard geckos help please

Hi I just got a leopard gecko about a week ago and one if my concerns is the temperature i am using a dual dome light with a day and night bulb both ar 60 watts and i have noticed the temps have been getting pretty high and was wondering whats the best way to keep the temps at the right levels any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

If you want to lower the temps get a lower wattage bulb

Ideal would be a UTH with a thermostat. Leopard Geckos need belly heat. What are the ambient temperatures?

use what ever bulb has 90 degrees maybe u don’t use the light long enough I keep my geckos light one from 8.30 am to 9.00 pm

As mentioned above, a heat mat is recommended. Only use a lamp if the heat mat isn’t enough heat (unless you can find a Ceramic Heat Emitter or CHE); leopard geckos aren’t basking lizards and get their heat from their belly. Maybe you can try using a thermostat?
