 Uv for leopard geckos?

I have done tens of research and been guided in many directions. Although leopard geckos are captive they do not need ultraviolet rays as if they would get in the wild from the sunshine. And even if they were in their natural habitat they don’t come out all the time but they do come out every now and then. I had a reptile ultraviolet incandescent light bulb and I decided to use it to see what happens and even though my leopard geckos are somewhat near the window and they see the sunshine coming in from outside when the blinds are opened up during the day. It helps a little bit with their cycle. And I also noticed both of my female leopard geckos have been coming out right under the light and sprawling out as if they were crocodiles in the sunshine. But never for too long just for a few minutes and then they hide. I think they like it

They have warm temperature on the live side and cool on the right side with about eight hides two on the hot two in the center and two on the cool side. They also have their humid and I use a digital thermometer to check the temperature.

I know they don’t need it because their captive leopard geckos but it doesn’t hurt send they don’t get any direct sunshine and I wouldn’t want to do that because enclosure would get too hot it’s definitely nice to mimic some sunshine for them

it is in the wild they wake up during the day time walk around then go back to sleep. so thats y i put a lamp on there cage and plus if use a lamp they can kind of tell wut season it is . if you dnt have a light they cant really tell so might hibernate during the winter. so i keep my light on for about 12 hours so it always fills like summer to him.
