imho you could do just as well with orange jello, I bet if you added in chunks of veggies, carrot, potatoe, orange, and bought some great value jello you would be making a far better product for cheaper. Just my opinion of course. Makes me think..some cal/vit powder, carrots, potatoe, whatever jello is cheap..could be about perfect.

 Question about ’’Fluker’s Orange Cubes’’

Hi,

This is from the Flukers site:

Quote:

Take the hassle out of feeding your crickets. Orange Cube Diet provides your crickets, meal worms or super worms food and water in one easy step.

I personally prefer to gut load the mealies with sweet potato and dark leaf veggies but it seems as if you can use those cubes too.

since you already have them those will work fine

but i personally use veggies b/c those things are expensive around here it is like $9.99 for a jar that size lol so much more costly that sweet potatoes and greens(which i buy anyway for my beardies and bts)

 Question about ’’Fluker’s Orange Cubes’’

i use way to many crickets to worry about watering them 2k crickets a week but i throw carrots apples and other fruits and veg around the house into my cricket box i never use cricket water and cricket food i find in a box of 1 k crickets there is enough food in there aswell as a potato so really do you have to water the crickets if you use them so fast ? ive had lil to no dead ones from not using that cricket water/food.

as for the jello wouldnt you have some hyper active crickets jello is basically sugar and water and i would be worried if the crickets cant digest the sugars from the jello and what that could do to a gecko or any reptile?

 Question about ’’Fluker’s Orange Cubes’’

A can of those came with the Leo I rescued, I used them for about a week and threw them away. I kept some crickets for the Leo right beside her tank in a medium cricket keeper. Had plenty of ventilation but after a few days they made the keeper really stink. Crickets tanks will naturally stink anyway but those cubes really added to it. I use this: Link I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for your worms as well. Like I said before, crickets already stink but that stuff just made it worse. I could smell it in my room after a few days. YUK!

Maybe it won’t with worms who knows, but you really would be better off with natural foods, like the one listed above or potatoes and leafy greens. I’m just not for processed foods for my Reptiles. although potatoes stink in time too, that’s why I just use the powdered food. :-)

Yup, I know what you mean. You can buy it, I think they use it to make jelly too. It’s just jello without anything in it. Fun to see sugar crazed crickets though... :-)
